It is both an honour and a privilege to accept the responsibility of serving as the President of CREDAI Bengaluru.
I take on this role with humility, purpose, and a commitment to
serving our fraternity and this incredible city we all call home.
Let me begin by expressing my deepest gratitude to our outgoing President, Mr Amar
Mysore and the leadership team whose vision, dedication, and steadfast guidance have brought CREDAI Bengaluru to where it is today.
We stand on strong foundations, and I’m confident we’ll build even higher—together.
Bengaluru is more than just a city—it’s an evolving idea. A melting pot of innovation,
culture, and ambition. And over the years, real estate developers have played a defining role in giving physical form to the city's aspirations. From tech parks and townships to sustainable homes and iconic commercial spaces, we’ve been at the center of the city’s transformation.
Bengaluru today stands as a shining example of balanced urban growth and economic vibrancy. The city continues to be India’s most resilient and future-ready real estate market.
In 2024, Bengaluru accounted for nearly 15% of all residential sales across India—a
testament to its unmatched demand, infrastructure momentum, and liveability quotient. Out of the 4 Lakh homes sold across the country , 70k were sold in Bengaluru.
What’s even more reassuring is that Bengaluru also has the lowest inventory overhang (10 months) among all major Indian cities, a clear indicator of market maturity and steady absorption.
On the commercial front, Bengaluru led the country in both office space supply and
absorption, further strengthening its reputation as the tech and innovation capital of
India.
And here’s something we can all take pride in: a majority of these developments have
been envisioned and delivered by CREDAI Bengaluru member developers. This is not
just a statistic—it’s a reflection of the collective impact, professionalism, and purpose- driven growth that CREDAI Bengaluru represents.
CREDAI Bengaluru has been the platform that unites us, amplifies our concerns, and
helps shape progressive dialogue with stakeholders—government bodies, policy makers, financial institutions, and most importantly, the citizens we serve.
Today, as our city expands and its urban fabric becomes more complex, the responsibility on our shoulders increases. We are not just developers—we are urban planners, ecosystem builders, and in many ways, custodians of Bengaluru's future.
Real estate now contributes close to 7.3% of India’s GDP, and is poised to reach 15% by 2030. It is also the second-largest employment generator, supporting over 50 million jobs directly and indirectly. CREDAI’s skilling programs have already trained over 1 lakh workers nationwide, and Bengaluru will continue to spearhead this important mission. I request each one of your organizations to proactively participate and further these initiatives.
Friends, we are at a pivotal moment. As India urbanises rapidly—projected to have
nearly 50% of its population in cities by 2047—Bengaluru is poised to lead this
transformation.
As President of CREDAI Bengaluru, I am committed to being a bridge-builder—a bridge between developers and regulators, between opportunity and policy, between
aspirations and action.
Let us approach the future with ambition, integrity, and unity. Let us shape a city that
thrives not just in square feet, but in quality of life. A city where dreams are built—not just homes.
Thank you for your trust. I look forward to walking this journey with all of you.
