- Mr. Hegde is the Managing Director of Chartered Group of Companies founded by him in 1983. The flagship Company of the Group is Chartered Housing which is primarily into promotion of Residential Apartments. The Group is also into Interiors, Premium Construction, Facilities Management and other property related services. He also heads Chartered Leasing, one of the very few privately held NBFC registered with RBI.
- He is the Past President of CREDAI – Karnataka which is a trade body of the major Real Estate Promoters of Bangalore & Karnataka.
- Currently he is the “Advisor” to CREDAI Karnataka.
- Mr. Hegde is the Chairman of Centre of Learning Committee of CREDAI National.
- He is the past Editor of “CREDAI Times” a National magazine brought out by CREDAI.
- Mr. Hegde is the Chairman of Premaanjali Foundation ever since its inception in 1988, which is engaged in several activities focused around homeless, needy and the blind. Mr. Hegde’s brainchild PETFORUM – an organization for self evolution was mooted by him in 1994 for the benefit of the Trustees of Premaanjali.
- He is also one of the Trustees of Indian Musical Experience (IME), Karnataka Janapada Parishath Trust & Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheswara Dharmothana Trust
- He is the Managing Trustee of Dr. Chandaya Hegde Foundation which supports various educational, social, religious & cultural activities.
- Aerya Alva Foundation of which Mr Hegde is the Chairman has also adopted a Government Higher Primary School at Nalkemar, Dakshin Kannada Dist
- He is the founder and President of a resident welfare body Rathna Avenue Association
- He has deep interest towards Art & Culture, Plays, Music, Folk art etc.
