K. K. Malpani

Sri K.K. Malpani moved to Bangalore from Mumbai in 1954 & has been part of initial development of our city.

Few of the major Properties Developments to the credit of Sri K.K. Malpani are. The first multistoreyed building on Post Office Road in 1962 – 64 for PWD – next to Vidhana Soudha was built by Sri Malpani.

“Hotel Ashok” first five star hotel for ITDC was constructed by him when Late Sri Veerendra Patil was C.M. and Late Sri Mohammed Ali was the Tourism Minister.

The first Shopping Complex at Jayanagar for Bangalore Corporation, with all the facilities such as two major restaurants, cold storage, Janata Bazar and offices, etc. was also built by Sri Malpani. This complex is having RCC Slabs and false ceiling, etc., of different type and was constructed during the period of Late Sri Laxman Rao, the Administrator of BCC. There has been multistoreyed building with cinema theatre, etc.

The Construction of Apartments on Race Course Road was taken up by him in 1978 when Late Sri Gundu Rao was C.M. and late Sri Dharam Singhji was Urban Development Minister.

Sri Malpani is founder of KOAPA (Karnataka Ownership Apartments Promoters Association as KOAPA), which initially operated from his house, with a few members during 1980.

Sri Malpani feels happy & proud that this organization has grown to the present stage due to efforts of senior developers. The membership is in demand. Named as CREDAI Bengaluru (KOAPA) was to give all India status, present strength of members is over 200 and CREDAI owns an office and is financially sound. The name of KOAPA has been converted to CREDAI Bengaluru and has branch offices in several cities in the state. The amount of goodwill developed due to exhibitions, press conferences, various social events & participation with Government Programs, etc., the association has laurels with developers and the public. Sri Malpani is very happy that first time, Southcon – 2011, with participation in Southern states was organized under the leadership of Sri Sushil Mantri on 4th & 5th February 2011 at Hotel Lalit Ashok, Bangalore.

He feels happy & honoured to be part of the CREDAI Bengaluru, and numbers of Awards have been initiated. CARE Awards for Real Estates 2013 wherein Central CREDAI President with other Committee members had been present. Sri Santosh Hegde, Past Lokayukta, was Special Guest. Sri Balakrishna Hegde, Past President chaired the program.

Sri Malpani was conferred with Life Time Achievement Award in 2013, at the CARE Awards Events of CREDAI Bengaluru & CREDAI Karnataka.

Sri Malpani is always confident of the growth of the organization & eager to see further developments under the able leadership of Senior Developers in the times to come. Some of our members have been Chairman in Central Office and on other various important positions, etc. Sri Malpani has been a part of all our events and his presence has been a morale booster to all our events
